Gender Identity

It can be a challenge to find the right counselors for your adolescent or teen when there are questions about gender identity.

The counselors at Pathways Counseling Services can see the ‘whole’ picture in regards to your child and their concerns.

The approach to gender identity-focused work takes into consideration the questions your child may have. Factors such as your child’s cognitive development and physical development are part of the approach used to support their growth in all areas of their lives.

There is a need to identify if collaboration with other healthcare providers is part of the journey. Aspects of gender diversity, gender development and gender dysphoria are all part of the overall practice and understanding for your child and your family.

The counselors at Pathways Counseling Services provided the support and understanding our family needed as we worked together through changes in our family. They were kind and listened to our teen’s questions. There was no judgement felt by anyone during the counseling. Our family has gained so much from this experience.
